Clean Clogged Gutters

Just clear the debris but before you get out the ladder check out these tips on how to clean your gutters safely.
Clean clogged gutters. Why gutters need cleaning. If the cage is damaged or missing replacement screens cost just a few bucks. After the gutters are clean and the water used for flushing isn t draining quickly check the downspout for clogs and any lodged debris. Turn the hose on and spray down the spout.
Reposition or repair the gutter supports. Remove and clean it. Use your chosen method scoop and drop bucket or bag to scoop out leaves and debris from the gutters. Water isn t draining from the downspouts water overflows from gutter and drips from joints gutters are clogged with leaves and needles as regular maintenance to keep them working properly.
Clean the gutters. Feed the hose up the downspout from the ground. Climb a sturdy ladder with the end of a garden hose in one hand. Your ladder should be sturdy safe and large enough for the job.
Clean debris from clogs. If the cage is in good shape firmly re seat it into the downspout hole. Keep your body upright and reach only as far as you can without leaning away from the ladder. Remove all the accumulated debris in the gutter.
When you reach the top opening of the downspout ask a helper down below to turn on the water. If you haven t cleaned your gutters yet do this first finishing with unclogging the downspout. Problems caused by clogged or broken gutters are expensive to fix but easy to prevent. Work in short sections along the gutters and don t overreach from the ladder.
